Crooning Prodigies
Today I did very little in the way of the grandiose, but I have to say I’m feeling at peace in a way that that potty mouth zen master Phil Jackson can’t claim. As far as Sundays go, this one was sublime and I want to share it with you, dear friend. After we woke up, my lady and I walked to a flea market while sharing a baguette and some iced coffee.

When I was there, I found 6 African records for a dollar each and bought a painting of a south American Jesus preaching on an island to some children. I’m not sure why I bought it. It’s the first and only painting that I’ve picked out and bought. When I saw it I felt ecstatic and that was it.
Actually, it made me feel a lot like the track featured below by Ambrose Campbell. When I listen to it, I salivate. Later that day, after hanging up my painting, I strolled around some more with the missus, ate a muffin, read some of my book and planted some parsley and avocados. Now I’m going to eat some soup!
The tracks below point in the right direction. The King Oniya is from “I’ve Found My Love – 1960’s Guitar Band Highlife from Ghana.” That opening chord progression and subsequent riff-vamp-variant is joyous. The vocals that come after are amazing.
I’m not sure how to classify the second song, Yolanda by Ambrose Campbell. What is it? Jazz? Something else? Groovin’, but played by Anna Livia Plurabelle instead of the Young Rascals.
