Daniel in the Lion's Den

Two straight days of glory makes me feel alright in my life. What can I say? Kind of ipso facto breaks down the mind/body dichotomy I'd been hoping for since mother nature makes all of my problems go away the second the sun pokes its head out.
Luckily mother nature's bay area chapter is a particularly cruel mistress so I don't need to worry about my productivity flagging. I've just set aside the evening windstorm as my time for quiet contemplative study and reflection. My cats and I sleep in the sun during the day time and drink miso soup and discuss the relatives strengths and weaknesses of the lesser prophets and judges of the old testament.

Anyway, time to catch some island fever with a backward glance o'er some forward-looking music. The first track has been one of many tracks working overtime to satiate my calypso needs. It's off a disc I'm particularly enamored of, entitled "London Is The Place For Me (Trinidadian Calypso In London, 1950-1956)." The other two tracks are not actually Japanese (as far as I know) but French Japanophiles. Possibly originally intended to promote cross-cultural awareness of Euro-Oriental dance styles, the record features French children singing in japanese over some funky beats. Marc Bolan deserves a head-nod since this shit sounds glam as fuck to me.
Peace!

nice ones! this is startin to get a good lil bunch of music on it
does "daniel in the lions den" refer to the jamaican song or the christian concept
judeo-christian, my friend. just like the judeo-leo connection in the book of daniel, these songs promote unity in unlikely places. how's that?
