A Righteous Communique from our good friend and visionary genius Thaddeus in Beijing.....

I like this band in Beijing called Guai Li. It means strange power. Miraculously they were the first band I ever saw here and they're the best. I wish I could put down baseball cards of the band members in front of you. The guitar players are like funneling Tom Verlaine and their own rock'n'roll ideas together. The singer cannot be written about. The bass player is a flying anchor. Any form of monetary greed upsets the drummer, who is also the bass player for a really big underground band called PK14. My friend videod Guai Li's show last week. The microphone was an external attachment from a My First Sony drumpad/karaoke device ergonomically designed to rest on your thighs while seated. The sound stinks!
