The Viking Of Echo Park

Glasser, aka Cameron Mesirow, dropped a bundle of precious gifts on the world a few months ago. Her rhythms stutter and shuffle along like Garage Band incantations of Moondog and Arthur Russell but her voice conveys a memory, salt and peppered with joy and sadness that makes everything stick. Inexplicable flashes of fogged out familial dens mix with tinking radiators and whispering forest worlds. "Glad" is the sound of so many memories, righteous and regretful galloping out of the abyss, circling wagons and threatening to attack only to bear hug and face the future. Is this what Los Angeles is? Either way, we're lucky that Cameron's found another part of her voice with music, what a righteous voice it is!

In LA, Glasser performs live with a dance troupe called Body City, who have choreographed moves to all the songs. They're hoping to do a small tour with Lemonade in the summer sometime around July.
