Carpathian Forest
I was waxing nostalgic last night about finding priceless Tina Turner and Incredible String Band records at Mindfair, meeting Carol Spiros and having her pass on her insane vinyl bounty and wisdom onto me (Pop Group, Raincoats, Emmit Rhodes, Lizzie Mercier Desclous, ETC). Who would've thought that just today all of those Oberlin discovery memories would be simultaneously trumped and re-awakened with one piece of special news.Word had gotten around about an Aaron Dilloway of Wolf Eyes is now living in Oberlin but it turns out he has opened up a Hanson Records outpost in the middle of town!! My mind is drooling out of my ears thinking of all the intense undergrad/townie/Dilloway pedagogical jam sessions that will go down at his place. Where does he even live? Does anyone know? I am so ready for the Oberlin noise renaissance. This is so awesome!!!
Hello everyone,
I'm pleased to announce the opening of the HANSON RECORD STORE in Oberlin, OHIO. (A bit over a 1/2 hour west of CLEVELAND)

But also Rock n' Roll, Synth, Prog, Industrial, Modern Classical, Reggae, Punk, Metal, Jazz, International, Sound FX and other random weirdness that gets thrown in THE SHOCK PIT!

may we not forget our N. Prospect connect. While he was prone to want to gouge a man for a Beatles record and gouge a woman for anything, all in all it was a good garage!
jesus that is really cool and pretty. chelsea will have fun at the reunion there.
AHHHH! I can't believe we missed this, my mind is BLOWN. That guy on North Prospect was amazing, but this is on another level.
yes... not even trying to level N. Prospect & this magicity... i honestly didn't think i was going to have an excuse to go back that way for a long time but this might just have changed things. Lorain Co. Economic Development!
Wow -- I just got back from going to Oberlin for the weekend, did not see this... guess I'm going back for commencement!
