Two of our resident Bloggaz are currently trapeezing around the Old World with their band Skeletons and the Kings Of All Cities. Their humility not their quality accounts for their absence from these pages but I am now here to sing their praises! They've managed to synthesize some of the best aspects of World/dance/free music into a Free Jazz Grunge/Albert Aysler vs. Prince village?? I've used this comparison before but looking at a forest of trees from a distance creates a calming sense of peace and wonder, but approaching and examining up close allows one to see all the crawling festering wonder of the world living and dying among the forest's roots. A many-layered thing of splendor! Their new album, $, carries the torch but adds unprecedented levels of depth to the harmony. YES.
