Wow, what a great way to start the day. Have been listening to Catacombs on lock for about 2 months now, definitely in the throes of an intense Cass obsession, and started to worry that this record would be unfairly ignored like all the ones before it. I know there is a while "stop saying he's a genius" school but I don't care, I hate school, and I think he's one of the most special lyricists and songwriters around right now. Get this record. Also go get dropping the writ, time has been very kind to it, made me eat my words about hating it bc it's basically a word from the future about the music of today referencing the music of the past. 2007 was not ready for that kind of shit. Paranoid isolation vibes in the video totally echoing my underslept, stranger in a strange land friday morning to boot. Anyhow, way to go Pitchfork you got it right!!!

I had just picked this up at the record store when you put this up. I had a solo night in and felt the whole endeavor. Then the next day I was playing it for Jess and all was good until the song about loving your work came on... that one hit a sour note. ha.
