Today, our friends at Team Coco have premiered the video for “My Ma”, in advance of Girls’ March 22 performance on Conan on TBS.
“My Ma” is the third video from Father, Son, Holy Ghost (still available to purchase), following the “Vomit” and “Honey Bunny” videos.
“My Ma” was directed and edited by Aaron Brown (Focus Creeps) and shot by Grant Singer and Aaron Brown. Unconditional love is a two-way street y’all!

I took the above photo New Year’s Eve at the Knockout in San Francisco as it became 2009. Girls played one of their first shows ever. The whole stage got decked out by Primo, Leslie, Myles and Christopher (I think) it looked like a big homemade teepee. It was so packed and sweaty but it felt like everyone there knew one another. And while we were watching our friends play for 30 minutes the audience got kind of quiet and just watched something special happening. This has been an amazing year for Girls. They’ve put out one of the best rock albums of the year, toured around the world and stepped up their live show to a really mindblowing level.
Tonight they’re playing their biggest ever headlining show in Los Angeles at The Music Box. Makeda Francisco, Skyler Lucas and Tracy Nelson who have accompanied the band on several of their most exciting shows (including on Jimmy Fallon) will reunited with the band.
