On October 25th of this year, we’re proud to share the debut album from San Francisco’s Wet Illustrated.
You may have seen the video for album cut “Satellite Kids”, but here’s an official taste/first mp3 of the track “Gypsy Town”. The track is like a combination bottle rocket-smart bomb. Explosive and ebullient, bursting with ideas, but also precisely executed, with intelligent interplay of guitars, a surprisingly ambling song structure. It’s a real treasure and one of our favorite cuts from the record so we hope you enjoy.
As you may have seen yesterday, we announced the release of two brand new footlongs on True Panther Sounds, both hitting the streets October 25th, 2011. They are the debut from San Francisco’s Wet Illustrated, and the incredible Midnight Remember album from Melbourne Australia’s Little Red. These albums are very different but share the fact that they are ambitious, intelligent guitar-driven albums that will belie your expectations as they did ours (and share a release date and shockingly similar color palette).

After self-releasing their first 45 on freshly minted Corvette City Records they conceived, accumulated and eventually recorded an LP in Portland,… Read More
