Marylou Mayniel - aka Oklou - is a French producer, vocalist, and composer currently based in London. Growing up in the countryside of Western France, Mayniel was first exposed to music via a classical education on piano and cello. As a teenager growing up in isolated surroundings, Mayniel found herself exploring the far reaches of the internet, discovering the experimental fringes of pop music that would come to inform her own unique sound and creative practice. Associated with the influential NUXXE collective alongside Sega Bodega, Shygirl and Coucou Chloe, Oklou's sound bridges the worlds of emotive, ethereal pop and forward-thinking electronic experimentation.
