17-year-old South Carolina-born zayok is an artist and producer who stands as both a bridge between online cultures and a vanguard of the next generation of experimental electronic music. zayok is rife with influences–from Jeff Tweedy to Kraftwerk–and an insatiable thirst for music history and overarching cultural connections, yet he manages to shrug each one of them for a completely fresh and idiosyncratic sound.
