‘SPEED RUN’ (April 14th) is Frost Children's first release on venerable New York label True Panther, where the pair’s frequent, visceral live shows and DJ sets across New York City made them look at producing music in a new way.
Brimming with irrepressible energy and undeniable confidence, it’s a rush of forward motion apt for a band used to constantly creating. “Fell in love with decadence,” [Angel] illustrates on “ANGEL’S THOUGHTS,” before toying with spending their label's advance on North Face jackets for their friends and jetting from Paris to LA (the Blaketheman1000-assisted “WONDERLAND”), all transcended by the crushes and obsessions that even rock stars aren’t immune to. “We've learned to take the formula and make it authentic,” Lulu explains. Less run-of-the-mill algorithmic pop and more an outsized feeling that has inescapable reach, the music speaks to their fan base that lives both on and offline (“SICK TRIP” was made sourcing crowd vocals from the duo’s engaged Discord). The eleven songs off ‘SPEED RUN’ paint an endearing profile of what it’s like to believe in yourself before the world does, while still being at the height of your powers. Why not act absurd if it sounds this good?
ABOUT

FROST CHILDREN
Frost Children is the project of St. Louis-raised and now NYC-based siblings Lulu and Angel Prost. They've released multiple full-length projects since 2020 (including 2022's 'SPIRAL') that combine and transcend genre. They’ve been called "obnoxious, self-obsessed, painfully stylish, convinced of a sense of greatness they've yet to earn.” They're pop music in all its textures and forms.
“You just gotta own it,” the duo reflects. “Never delete anything!”
