JONAH MUTONO

Jonah Mutono has been making music for years, but one thing has always been conspicuously missing from his releases: his real name. He went by the pseudonym Kidepo—after a region of Uganda, the country of his ancestry, and his recent on-and-off home. Jonah's done much of his writing, producing and recording in the most DIY of ways, with a laptop and a mic in the quiet of his own home. Sometimes he would record from his closet. His first song, “Reds” appeared hidden in plain sight, a slice of stripped down soul on Soundcloud, adorned with just a photo of a stuffed dog.
