ABOUT

TOBIAS JESSO JR.
Tobias Jesso Jr. spent years in Los Angeles trying to make it as a bass player in various bands before a series of personal setbacks led him back to his hometown of Vancouver. There, alone with a piano, he began writing the deeply personal songs that would become his debut album Goon. The album, produced by former Girls member Chet "JR" White, Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, and Ariel Rechtshaid, showcased Jesso's gift for classic piano ballads that recall Randy Newman and Harry Nilsson. Since then, he's become one of pop music's most sought-after songwriters, co-writing Adele's "When We Were Young" and winning a Grammy for Songwriter of the Year.
